Gods Faithful Provision = His mercies are new every morning and I am so undeserving!

All I can say my dear friends and family, is Praise God! For He Is Worthy!

All the times I have doubted, All the times I have cried in fear, or in anguish felt helpless, I now think back on and feel ashamed that I ever doubted my God who is the maker of HEAVEN and EARTH and yet he cares for the sparrow and knows every grain of sand, and every strand of hair on my head. Praise Him!

Since leaving my dear homeland of Oklahoma now 5 weeks ago, God has proven Himself Faithful and Amazing, time and time and time again! After being here for a few weeks looking for and applying for jobs, Timothy still had not found anything. I was just getting to the point of being very anxious when God gave him a job. Through these last few weeks, we have as a family been able to spend most of our time together and that in itself has been worth not having a job. I now realise that God had that planned in His timing of provision, because we needed to be renewed and refreshed in eachother & in the Lord! Every day God is grinding, whittling, and shaping away at our lives personally and in our marriage, making us more and more into the image and display that He desires for us to be. A picture of Christ and His bride the true Church of God.

Psalm 66 puts into words the song in my heart, when I didn't know what to write.
"Make Glorious His Praise" "16. Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul."

Psalm 66
1 Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands:
2 Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious.
3 Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.
4 All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah.
5 Come and see the works of God: he is terrible in his doing toward the children of men.
6 He turned the sea into dry land: they went through the flood on foot: there did we rejoice in him.
7 He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.
8 O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard:
9 Which holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved.
10 For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.
11 Thou broughtest us into the net; thou laidst affliction upon our loins.
12 Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place. 13 I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows,
14 Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.
15 I will offer unto thee burnt sacrifices of fatlings, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah.
16 Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.
17 I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.
18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:
19 But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.
20 Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.

My God Shall Supply

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 Right now we are waiting on the Lords timing for our move to Kentucky as we are currently in search of a job, house, etc. Timothy is currently working at Pizza Hut delivering Pizza 3 nights a week and waiting tables 3 days a week. Along with working full time, he is still preaching/teaching at Hext Baptist Church between Sayre and Erick. We have been there almost 2 1/2 years and it has been a blessed opportunity for Timothy to grow in his preaching and teaching skills! I am staying busy caring for my husband, our home, and our two precious children! Lydia Grace just turned 15 months old 2 days ago! She is toddeling around everywhere and constantly trying to say new words! She is such a joy and delight! Her sweet smile and loving disposition can soften any heart, and she makes friends no matter where we go! She loves her baby brother and delights in patting and kissing him as often as she is near him! I am excited for her to have a playmate! Their relationship will be a sweet one as they are so close in age! Timothy Paul II is now 6 weeks and 2 days old! It seems that he is growing up so much faster than Lydia did! Though, he did start life bigger than she did, so I'm sure that plays a major factor. Lydia was 7lbs 7oz when she was born, and Timmy was 8lb 6oz. Timmy is doing very well and sleeping around 5 hours straight during the night, which is a major blessing for me. He is smiling now and is starting to coo pretty often which is absolutely precious! I am currently working on finishing writing Timmy's birth story and will try and finish it and post it here very soon :-) We have had some difficult times in the past few months, yet the Lord is our provider, strength and strong foundation! There have been times when I have questioned why and wondered if we were going to make it. And every time the Lord would provide and once again I would be amazed by His grace and humbled by His providence. These verses have brought me encouragement and have reminded me of the faithfulness of my God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills and clothes the lilies of the field! It has also reminded me that I must be ever watchful and making an effort that I keep my eyes on the Lord and not turn to see the things in the world around me. For it is only in Him that I can find rest, joy, and peace. 8. I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. 9.Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: myflesh also shall rest in hope. 10.For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. 11.Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Psalm 16:8~11

Building on The Foundation

Building on The Foundation is a devotional from my devotion book "Diamonds in the Dust" By Joni Eareckson Tada & really spoke to my heart. So think about it and search your heart. Are you building your life on the One true foundation that will last forever?

"1st Corinthians 3:10-15
"But each one should be careful how he builds. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If any man builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw. . . It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each man's work. If he what he has built survives, he will receive his reward. If it is burned up, he will suffer loss.

Many years ago our old barn down by the creek was burned up in a roaring blaze that could be seen for miles. My father, who at that time was seventy-two years old, shuffled through the smoldering ash and rubble several days later. He overturned charred objects with a kick of his toe, searching for anything he might be able to salvage from the antique tools he had saved over the years. His only compensation was the barns foundation. Although everything else had been consumed, the foundation had withstood the fiery test.

I think of that story every time I read 1st Corinthians 3:10-15. Oh, how grateful I am that the foundation of my life is the Lord Jesus. No fiery trial, not even the fire of Judgement Day, will destroy the solid Rock on which I build my life.

What I build on that foundation, however, will be put to the test. Wood, hay and straw will be consumed in a flash; that is, the work I've done for selfish gain or out of pride. But when I build on the foundation work that is inspired by the Spirit, work done with a pure motive and with an eye to God's glory, I have confidence that it will last for all eternity.

Father, help me to lay up my treasures in heaven, the kind that are made of gold, sliver and costly stones. Make my life Golden with Patience. May my character Glow with the precious gems of Faith refined. Build in me, dear Lord, things that will last forever."

Finding True Happiness

True Happiness. Define it. Can you?
Have you experienced or are you experiencing true happiness in your life?

John Piper's book "Desiring God" is all about being happy IN God. Here is what he says about the book,

"(This book is) all about happiness, because that is what our Creator commands of us!"

"Delight yourself in the Lord" Psalm 37:4 Does that sound like a question? No! The psalmist commands us, saying "Delight yourself in the LORD!" Then he goes on to say, " and He shall give you the desires of your heart." Unfortunately most people misinterpret this by thinking "Wow God is going to give me whatever my heart desires! The mistake was in not adding the next verse. "Commit your way unto the Lord, Trust also in Him and He will bring it to pass." Psalm 37:5

What is he going to bring to pass? Well, if we are Committing our way to the Lord and trusting in Him, then we will Delight in Desiring His will for our lives! So when He brings His will to pass, He is also fulfilling the desire of our heart!

Sadly enough, most of the time in our society today people are constantly trying to fill their life with the earthly things that may bring pleasure for a moment, but tomorrow will mean nothing.

Blaise Pascal wrote this,

" All men seek happiness. This is without exception. Whatever different means they employ, they all tend to this end. The cause of some going to war, and of others avoiding it, is the same desire in both, attended with different views. The will never takes the least step but to this object. This is the motive of every action of every man, even of those who hang themselves."
-from Pascal's Pensees, trans. W.F. Trotter (New York: E.P.Dutton, 1958),

He truly understood how earnestly men seek for Happiness, even some who are so miserable and they have tried everything but seeking the Lord, that they decide to end their lives.

I think C.S. Lewis made an astute observation on man and his longing for happiness. He remarked that,

"There once was in man a true happiness of which now remains to him only the mark and empty trace, which he in vain tries to fill from all his surroundings, seeking from things absent the help he does not obtain in things present. But these are all inadequate, because the infinite abyss can only be filled by an infinite and immutable object, that is to say, only by God Himself. "
-C.S. Lewis

There are so many things we try and fill our lives with that just aren't eternally gratifying to our souls that are searching for true happiness! The only True Happiness that comes from God!

So, where are you searching for your happiness?
